Bluegrass Community and Technical College Inaugural "Building an Inclusive Campus Conference"

Tanya Torp was invited as a guest speaker at the inaugural “Building an Inclusive Campus Conference at Bluegrass Community and Technical College November 11th, 2022. Her presentation focused on tangible ways faculty and staff can foster belonging for students. Tanya works at Step By Step, Inc with young mothers ages 12 to 24 and invited co-laborer and former program participant, Kierra Huff who now works full-time at Step By Step as the Program Coordinator at Step By Step, Inc to co-design the presentation.

Kierra is not only a BCTC Alum and single mother, but she knows first hand what it means to have supportive faculty and staff for non-traditional student learning.
